We are looking for a driver for a 28 to 53 ft 2 to 4 axle trailer truck and/or dump truck (dumper) (6, 10 wheels) for the delivery of reinforcing steel from our Laval plant to construction sites in the greater Montreal metropolitan area.

Position: Class 1 truck driver, permanent, full-time
Schedule: Daytime Monday to Friday depending on planned deliveries to construction sites (early start, often 5 or 6 a.m.) and flexible hours. The candidate must be available to work overtime as needed. May vary depending on weather conditions.
Salary: $23.01 to $26.91 according to experience

The candidate sought:
must be in good physical shape;
hold a valid class 1 driver’s license;
must demonstrate an excellent driving history with the SAAQ;
have experience on a delivery truck (platform and/or tipper (dumper);
must have a good knowledge of Montreal and its surroundings (ability to navigate, to find your bearings and find the right path quickly);
must have taken the Health and Safety training on construction sites (card issued by ASP) mandatory for delivery to construction sites (or must take the training soon after hiring);
must have a clear and precise speech and must be able to communicate in writing effectively and legibly;
and he must be patient and calm on the road.

Additional qualifications that would be an asset:
bilingualism (the main language at work is French);
Rigging and lifting (overhead crane or equivalent);
Forklift driver.
